Samsung announces latest collapsible on August 10-TechCrunch

The days of the Galaxy Note Unpacked event are sadly gone, but Samsung?s foldables are happy to fill the phablet-sized holes in the company?s annual release schedule. Over the past few years, the company has fulfilled its promise to be fully committed to form factor. We expect the latest additions to the fold and flip lines to arrive within a few weeks.
Samsung withdrew its official invitation to the event unpacked at the end of the summer this morning, confirming the August 10th date for the virtual event. Since this is a Samsung event, it means that some or all of the big announcements have been leaked in the last few weeks. As expected, the big news is centered around the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Watch 5.

Both foldables are said to include the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chip and some new color options. Meanwhile, the new Galaxy Watch represents Samsung?s latest Wear OS partnership. This is certainly notable, as Google has begun a new push for wearable operating systems ahead of the fall Pixel Watch launch.
